Saturday and Sunday on the first weekend in December is when Newburgh shows off their Victorian spirit.  Characters and Musicians stroll our streets dressed in Charles Dickens costume.  Visit Santa & try chestnuts roasted by the open fire!  Find the Elf Contest and Find the Candy Cane contest gives customers a chance to see and
experience shops and restaurants they may never have been in.
Historic Newburgh Wine, Art and Jazz Festival presented by Evansville Living Magazine & T.R.U.-Event Rental, Inc.  This event features non-stop Jazz, wine by the glass or buy by the bottle to take home, food served all day and evening, art for sale and a view of the Ohio that just can’t be beat and will be the third weekend in May.
Historic Newburgh Farmers Market Presented by Romain GMC  is more of a happening that just a farmers market.  Check-out our commercial on YouTube or on our home page.  Market opens Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and runs through last weekend in September.  For all thinks Market visit their Newburgh Farmers Market website at

Free Family Movie Nights will return for 2018:
All screenings will be at the Old Lock & Dam Park in Newburgh.
Music Starts at 7:00pm – Movie will start at 8:00pm
Bring your chairs & blankets and enjoy an evening under the stars!
Pack a Picnic Basket – Drinks & sweet treats will also be available for purchase




Ghost Walks, each evening the third weekend in October,  features a 50 minute tour with guides sharing the spookier legends of Newburgh. Along the way you will meet ghosts from all ages to share stories of the past.  Take in one tour or both tours, it is a great family weekend outing.

Part of Halloween In Newburgh is always Trick or Treating at the shops starting at 2 pm and the Ghostly Stroll Halloween Parade on October 27, 2018 at 2:30 pm where we close the streets of Monroe, Jennings, State and Water for a parade with the Little Old Dam Band followed by tons of kids, pets and parents walking through the streets dressed in their Halloween costumes.  It is great fun and there are prizes ….lots of prizes. 
Then head over to the Harvest Festival in the Town Hall parking lot. It is our Fall Farmers Market!  There are fall vendors, music and games.  Plus come dressed in your Halloween costume and do some trick or treating.  
Friday, July 5, 2019: Historic Newburgh Fireworks and Evening in the Park  – It’s an old fashion community Independence Day Celebration, complete with “summer social” type games, lots of food, and a community concert by the Old Dam Band.  This is a great way to teach your kids what it means to be an American.  This is how Newburgh celebrates Independence Day for the United States of America!
