Newburgh Winterlights presented by Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union.
Experience the wonder of thousands of lights along the Rivertown Trail from the Aurand Trailhead, across the red bridge, through the woods, and out onto the overlook. With more than 2x more lights than we had in 2021, this year's display will be sure to delight everyone in the family. This self-guided outdoor experience offers a safe and socially distanced family outing this holiday season.
Tickets are $5 per person, children 2 and under are free. Tickets are good for any time period between 6pm and 9pm on the date your tickets are purchased for. This is a rain or shine event. No refunds or rescheduling.

Location: Newburgh Winterlights starts at the Gene Aurand Trailhead located across the street from Mother Theresa's Treasures at the corner of SR 662 and Yorkshire Dr in Newburgh, IN.
Weather Policy: This is a rain or shine event. In the case of light to moderate rain, we will be open. There will be no refunds or rescheduling.
Historic Newburgh, Inc. (HNI) staff will close the event is there is a threat of high winds and/or lightning. Only when HNI cancels the event, patrons who purchased advanced tickets will be reimbursed or will be offered the option to come another evening. In the event of inclement weather in the forecast, please call in advance, check our website (historicnewburgh.org) or visit our Facebook page for any weather related updates.
Parking Information: Public Parking is available at St John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh, IN 47630. Parking is also available in all downtown Newburgh public parking lots. Street parking is also available.
There is limited handicap parking available on-site at the Gene Aurand Trailhead. If there are no handicap spots available when you arrive, you may drive up to the trailhead parking lot and drop off your passengers.
As always, please listen to the volunteers located in the parking lot at the trailhead when using handicap parking or dropping off people in your party.
FAQs
Do you allow strollers/wheelchairs/wagons along the trail? Guests may use strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons on the exhibit trail. The trail is fully accessible.
How long does it take to walk through? Once you arrive, make it through the entrance and start your walk, the walk should take about 30 mins if you are stopping to see the lights and take pictures.
The Rivertown Trail is a public walking trail, why do I have to pay to walk through the display? The Rivertown Trail closes to the public at dark. Special permission was granted by Town of Newburgh to allow access to the closed trail after dark for a private fundraiser event.
This is outside on a walking trail - can I bring my dog? No. Only service animals are allowed. No other animals are permitted to attend.
What happens to the proceeds from ticket sales? All proceeds benefit Historic Newburgh, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation, economic vitality and sustainability of the downtown Newburgh area.
Can I have a photographer take family photos during the event? No. We do not allow tri-pods or professional family photos to be taken during the event as it will impede the flow of foot traffic along the trail.
